Passion for God. Passion for People. This is our calling at Springbank Community Church. And so, during the planning of our own building expansion, we committed to building God's kindgom with a tithe on the donations given to our capital campaign. As part of this "Kingdom Development and Advancement" we feel called to respond to the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa. Mukono is our response.

The town of Mukono, Uganda is the site of Noah's Ark Children's Home (NACH), a home for those orphaned or abandoned because of poverty, civil war, disease, and especially HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to assist them in their ministry to the children living at NACH as well as the surrounding community.

Hungry for Life International is the organization which is facilitating the opportunities for SCC to serve NACH. From Aug 23- Sept 5, 2008, SCC is sending a vision team to Mukono to gain insight into how we can be involved in the ministry at NACH. The team will be meeting the missionary couple who runs the orphanage, the children who live there, and visiting the surrounding community. The team will also build a playground at the orphanage.
